Chemical Peels

Revitalize your skin and achieve a more youthful, radiant appearance with our chemical peels at Aspire Surgical.

Chemical peels are a popular and effective treatment for improving the texture and tone of the skin. They work by using a chemical solution to remove the top layer of dead skin cells, revealing fresh, new skin underneath. The new skin is smoother, more even-toned, and less prone to wrinkles and fine lines. Our experienced skincare professionals will work with you to determine the best chemical peel option for your individual needs, and provide you with the personalized care and attention you deserve.

About Chemical Skin Peels

Chemical peels are an outpatient procedure, meaning that you will not need to stay at our office overnight. In fact, your treatment will be finished fairly quickly. When you visit our practice for a chemical peel, our doctor will:

  • Thoroughly wash and clean your skin
  • Apply one or more chemical solutions to small areas. Some of these solutions may include glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, trichloroacetic acid, or carbolic acid. Do not worry about the solutions applied to your skin – they are safe for use, and we will monitor you throughout your entire treatment to avoid any potential complications.
  • Create a controlled wound that will “blister” and peel off. Newer, smoother, and less-wrinkled skin will replace the older skin.

Chemical Peel Post-Op Information

You may experience a slight burning sensation for 5-10 minutes or a stinging feeling during your treatment. You can apply cold compresses to your skin to relieve your discomfort, and our doctors can also provide you with additional recommendations.

Please remember that your new skin will be hypersensitive to the sun. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least 30 SPF daily until our doctors say otherwise. Limit the time you spend in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM when sun exposure is highest.

For the best results, we recommend using SkinCeuticals homecare regiment following your procedure. We will provide you with any additional post-procedure instructions you may need.
